The Stafford County School Board voted 6-1 on Oct. 27 to keep religious and cultural holidays on the 2027-28 calendar after parents called their removal “covert oppression.”
The Stafford County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 20 unanimously approved a rezoning allowing James River Equipment to expand its facility in the Falmouth District.
Stafford County offices will close an extra half-day on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2026, after the Board of Supervisors approved the additional holiday leave on Oct. 20.
